Let's talk about stuff. What is stuff? Stuff is what life is made of. It is birth and death and everything in between. It is good and it is bad. It is what happens to you, what you make happen and what came before and after. It is scenery, it is dialogue, it is action, it is stillness. It is what is said and what is not said. If it affects you, it is your stuff. It is your lunch and your love affair, the spider in the room and the clouds in the sky. It is onion dip and skinny dip. It is sand and mud and worn carpet. It is yesterday and yesterday. It is about what happens to all of us, to some of us, and just to you.
I can tell you my story, I will tell you my story.
First, though, I want you to start, or continue, noticing. knowing and creating your stuff. We all start with two facts: we were born, and we are human. Being human means lots of stuff. I mean, there are many things involved in being human. From then on, it's all you.
You. Who? You. To see clearly, close your eyes. Rest. Take a rest from the visual, from the world your brain filters into what you see. Then convinces you that is reality, or, true.
Let's play a little game. It's not original, but we can play anyway. Close your eyes. No, don't close your eyes, you have to read this first. Take a couple of seconds to look around the place where you are. Make note of a few things because in a minute I am going to ask you to remember them. Pick five or six, enough that you have to work a little bit to hold them all in your mind.
After you have picked what you are going to remember and you are holding them in your mind, close your eyes and if you can, conjure up an image of the room, and use the items you remember to anchor the image. Once you have them there, do they remind you of a few more things you can add back in also? If you are not a visual thinker, do something else, such as seeing the names of your items as words, or hearing them, or assigning a musical note to each to make a little tune. It's your mind. Use it the way it likes to be used. You don't need to struggle with this. Geez. Just kinda do the best you can.
Ok, close your eyes, or cover them, or look at the ground. And think about what you decided to think about and then open your eyes.

What is your stuff? What makes up your life, your present, your past, your many potential futures? I don't know. And I'd like to hear about it, and I'd like to help you do and be yourself so that you have something to say. It is all that.
